Rebecca X Johnathan at Bryanston School, Dorset

As a photographer, I love discovering couples stories and then documenting their next chapter through authentic and original images.

Johno and Rebecca have one of those stories which will convert even the unromantic. Their journey of coming together spans two decades! Through primary school, youth groups and even different continents their paths crossed and they ‘fell’ deeply in love - bringing their story to an incredible wedding day.

From the moment I joined Rebecca and her bridesmaids on the wedding morning, I knew we were in for a spectacular day.  As champagne popped into the glorious sunshine, Rebecca appeared in her stunning ‘Grace Loves Lace’ gown, handcrafted all the way from Australia. As you can imagine, I’ve seen many wedding dresses in my time, yet, wow - this was breathtaking.

What a treat to photograph the service at Lady St Mary Church in Wareham, where the light reflected magnificently through the stain glass windows. The ceremony was joyful and personal; it was beautiful to watch the happiness of the couple overflow onto their guests.

The reception was British elegance in all it’s finest and Bryanston school was the perfect backdrop for this couple. I overheard a number of guests saying they felt like they were in the middle of a Pride and Prejudice set -- and looking at the photos I’m sure you can understand why! I particularly enjoyed photographing the speeches which took place in the venues' pavilion, accompanied with copious amounts of sunshine and laughter.

There were so many highlights of this spectacular day but how can I not mention the incredible Land Rover featured as the wedding car! It was an excellent choice for this classy affair.

Johno and Rebecca, it was truly a privilege to document your day and I hope that each photograph sparks precious memories of your beautiful summer wedding.
